About this opportunity
The Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles is requesting bids for pest control services at its Troy Field Office, a 1,920-square-foot facility, with bids due September 29, 2026 and a mandatory site visit on September 24 at 10:00 a.m. at 199 Scouting Circle, Troy, Alabama. Attendance at the site visit is required prior to bid submission; only vendors who sign in are eligible to bid.
The scope is monthly pest control service (once per month during standard business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) covering roaches, silverfish, ants, wasps, rats, mice, fleas, ticks, spiders, and other pests as specified by the contractor. The supplier must furnish all chemicals, equipment, tools, and materials; provide written service reports to the designated ABPP representative within 48 hours of each visit; and make emergency pest control services available at no additional cost when requested for significant pest activity or health and safety concerns. The supplier must hold current Alabama pesticide applicator licensure and provide proof of liability insurance prior to service commencement. No subcontracting is permitted.
The estimated maximum contract value is $25,000 over the entire service term, which will not exceed five years. The contract term and cumulative value will be determined at award based on awarded pricing and anticipated usage. Monthly invoices are submitted in arrears with Net 30 payment terms. The ABPP will consider its budget when processing awards and must remain within budgetary constraints.
Suppliers must register in Alabama Buys and submit responses electronically. Compliance with Alabama statutes includes E-Verify enrollment (if employing workers in Alabama), sales tax exemption certification, and the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act. Price escalation requests may be considered if increases do not exceed industry-specific price index increases or the Consumer Price Index, capped at 5 percent of annual contract cost. The State reserves the right to conduct cost realism and price reasonableness analysis on all bids.
