About this opportunity
The Capitol Region Purchasing Council is requesting bids for personal protective clothing, head gear, accessories, footwear, and gloves for structural firefighting on behalf of member fire companies, with bids due October 28, 2026. All products must meet NFPA 1971 (latest edition) standards.
The scope encompasses complete structural firefighting ensembles — protective coats, pants, helmets, gloves, and footwear — to outfit multiple fire companies within the Capitol Region. Each member fire company will issue its own purchase orders specifying quantities and delivery locations; no deliveries may commence without a written order from the contracting entity. The awarded vendor(s) must maintain product availability throughout the entire contract period from November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2027 to fulfill orders as member companies place them.
This is a cooperative-purchasing vehicle serving multiple Hartford County and statewide fire departments, meaning the awardee will support variable order volumes and delivery schedules from multiple customer agencies rather than a single bulk procurement.
