About this opportunity

Texas State University is seeking competitive proposals from companies to provide laboratory analytical services for testing water samples for metals, chemicals, cyanide, and discharges. The contract will cover services required at the main campus in San Marcos, the Science, Technology, and Advanced Research (STAR) facility, and potentially the Round Rock campus, located in Williamson County and the City of Round Rock. A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held on November 25, 2019, and proposals are due by December 13, 2019 at 3:00 PM CST. The initial contract term is for one year, with three optional one-year renewal terms. The selected vendor must be accredited by the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to perform the required analyses. Pricing must be inclusive of all labor, delivery, materials, and reporting, with normal turnaround time for sample analysis being 7-10 business days, except for non-routine discharges which require a 24-hour turnaround.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current contract holder is the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), but no other incumbent information is provided. The RFP also does not include any listed award values or budget ranges.
