About this opportunity
The City of Milledgeville is requesting bids on chemicals and equipment for three municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities under IFB 60550-2026-0006, with bids due June 24, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and written questions due June 12, 2026. All chemicals must meet American Waterworks Association (AWWA) and ANSI/NSF Standard 60/61 certification requirements—the core capability filter.
The scope includes chlorine gas (94,000 pounds), sulfur dioxide (12,000 pounds), sodium chlorite 25% solution (100,000 pounds), and aluminum sulfate in liquid form (68,000 gallons) for the Lamar Hamm Water Treatment Plant #1, James E. Baugh Water Treatment Plant #2, and the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Bidders must also supply two chlorine dioxide generators capable of producing 150 pounds per day with 95% yield efficiency and provide monthly site visits, quarterly testing, training, and maintenance and repair services for the generators. Pricing must be itemized by product line, including environmental charges, container deposits, pallet charges, and bulk delivery surcharges. Bidders must submit three current client references with service dates and contact information, and disclose any service terminations.
The contract term runs from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, with an option to extend for one additional year if mutually agreeable. Estimated quantities are for planning purposes only and do not obligate the City to purchase those amounts. The City reserves the right to make multiple awards, award by individual line items, or award in aggregate. Bids must remain valid for a minimum of 60 days from submission. Answers to written questions will be provided by June 16, 2026. Contractors must comply with Georgia's Security and Immigration Compliance Act requirements, including E-Verify registration and participation.
