About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking a two-year blanket purchase order for bird control services in Dallas County, Texas. The solicitation, posted on June 9, 2025, with proposals due by August 8, 2025, requires vendors to provide comprehensive bird mitigation and management solutions. Potential contractors must register through Bonfire to access full bid details and submit responses. The procurement involves a detailed statement of work for bird control services, with specific emphasis on time-sensitive delivery terms and performance standards. Vendors must adhere to strict delivery requirements, with DART reserving the right to reject and terminate contracts for failure to meet specified timelines and performance metrics. Key evaluation criteria will likely include vendor experience, proposed methodologies, response capabilities, and compliance with DART's purchase order terms and conditions. Submission requirements include detailed pricing structures, comprehensive service descriptions, and documentation of bird control techniques and strategies.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly mentioned in the available documentation, vendors should anticipate standard local government procurement requirements for responsiveness and responsibility. The procurement appears open to qualified vendors with demonstrated expertise in bird control services across transit and infrastructure environments. Payment terms are clearly defined as Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org and containing specific required documentation. Though exact budget ranges are not specified, the two-year blanket purchase order suggests a potentially significant contract value for the selected vendor. Interested contractors will need to carefully review the attached documentation, including the Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, Statement of Work, and Event Schedule, to fully understand the scope and requirements of the bird control service contract. Vendors should be prepared to demonstrate technical capabilities, propose effective bird mitigation strategies, and meet DART's stringent performance and operational standards.
