About this opportunity
The State of Maine, Office of Information Technology, is soliciting bids for a customized truck cap with ladder racks and bed storage system for a single 2012 GMC Sierra 2500HD Crew Cab, with bids due June 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
The scope covers a white aluminum truck cap with 29-inch above-bed-rail height, full-length side doors on driver and passenger sides, half-awning rear doors, interior lighting with 12-volt rocker switches in front, rear, and side compartments, and side toolboxes with six-shelf configurations on both sides. The cap must integrate a Kargo Master or equivalent heavy-duty roof rack system rated for 1,700-pound capacity and a Jet Rack interior ladder rack. The bed slide must be contractor-grade with 2,000-pound capacity and one-hand operation; the bed box must be aluminum tread plate measuring 72 inches deep by 48 inches wide by 14-5/32 inches high with 1,000-pound top-load capacity and two three-piece divider kits. All electrical connections must use heat shrink and heavy-duty wire loom protection; Scotch-Lok connectors are prohibited. The vehicle will be picked up in Augusta for full installation and returned to CFM in Augusta with all pickup, delivery, and installation costs included in the bid.
Bidders must submit separate pricing for the cap, bed slide, and bed box, along with estimated delivery times. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value, with consideration given to quality, conformity to specifications, and delivery dates. The State is tax-exempt; bidders must quote accordingly. Bidders must acknowledge acceptance of State of Maine procurement card payment via the provided form. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered; shorter discounts will not. Payment terms are computed from delivery and final acceptance or correct invoice receipt, whichever is later.
