About this opportunity
The Jamestown-Yorktown Educational Trust is requesting bids to furnish and install one new open air refrigerated display merchandiser at the 1781 Cafe, American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, Virginia, with bids due October 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET. This is a proprietary specification with no substitutions allowed — the awardee must supply a True Manufacturing Model TOAM-48-HC~NSL01 vertical air curtain refrigerated unit only.
The scope includes delivery, unpacking, positioning, electrical connection to an existing dedicated outlet, startup verification, removal and disposal of the existing unit, and all packaging removal. The refrigerator must feature a 48-inch width, four adjustable solid white powder-coated cantilever shelves with LED lighting, black powder-coated steel exterior, and white aluminum interior. Installation and full operation must be completed by November 1, 2026, with October 16, 2026 preferred; all work must occur on weekdays prior to the 9:00 AM cafe opening.
The total bid price shall include the refrigerator, the required True Manufacturing 7/7/7 manufacturer warranty (seven years parts, seven years labor, seven years compressor coverage), freight, delivery, installation, and disposal of the existing unit. The Trust intends to make a single award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose price is deemed fair and reasonable. Bid prices must remain valid for 90 days from submission.
Bidders must register in eVA and are subject to a one percent vendor transaction fee capped at $500 for DSBSD-certified small businesses or $1,500 for other businesses. All bidders must provide a Certificate of Insurance with General Liability of at least $1 million, Auto Liability of at least $1 million, and Workers Compensation of at least $500,000, listing the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation and Educational Trust as additional insureds. Invoices may only be submitted after all work is completed and accepted by the Trust. Bids must include the manufacturer's specification sheet, complete descriptive literature, written warranty terms, and acknowledgment of any addenda.
