About this opportunity
Fayette County, Georgia is issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for outdoor siren maintenance services for the Fayette County Emergency Management Agency. The procurement seeks annual preventative maintenance for a comprehensive Outdoor Warning Siren system consisting of 35 radio-controlled Whelen sirens utilizing WeatherWarn software (Models WPS 2800-09 and WPS 2909), with primary and backup controllers located at the 911 Communications Center and IT Department respectively. The system was installed in phases from 1999 through 2015. Required deliverables include visual siren station inspections, siren cabinet and component maintenance, speaker assembly and pole top equipment inspection, station performance testing, control station encoder preventive maintenance, and documented status reports. Contractors must monitor SI TEST email messages, notify the County within two hours of system failures, and provide hourly labor rates for repairs and parts replacement outside of annual maintenance. Qualified vendors must submit company information, a Contractor Affidavit under O.C.G.A. 13-10-91(b)(1), a detailed pricing sheet, any list of exceptions, three references from similar projects, and any signed addenda. The contract term begins July 1, 2026, and continues for one year through June 30, 2027, with two optional one-year renewal terms available with 90 days' notice prior to expiration. Quotes will be accepted until 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible responder considering payment terms, vendor qualifications and experience, quality, and references, with standard payment terms of Net 30.
The RFQ does not specify any set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise restrictions. Successful vendors must maintain general liability insurance of $1,000,000, automobile liability insurance of $1,000,000, and workers' compensation insurance as required by Georgia statute, with Fayette County listed as an additional insured. All pricing must include materials, equipment, installation, labor, and warranties with no additional charges permitted after the quote received date. No incumbent vendor or budget range is specified in the available documentation. Fayette County reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and re-solicit for pricing.
