About this opportunity

Lubbock Power & Light, a municipal electric utility in Texas, is requesting quotes on 42 line items of specialized electrical components and materials under procurement 26-7017-ELD, with quotes due October 5, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. This is a three-quote request (competitive quote process, not an open bid).

The scope encompasses lugs, bolts, fasteners, ground rods, couplers, insulators, cables, clamps, and related hardware with quantities ranging from 2 to 2,100 units per item. Technical specifications are detailed in attached drawings and an anchor bolt cage specification document (revision 002). All materials must be delivered FOB destination with freight prepaid to the Lubbock Power & Light Erskine Substation at 2905 Erskine Street, Lubbock, Texas 79415, addressed to Cheyenne Goodman.

Pricing must be quoted as Free on Board destination with freight included. Bidders must certify that quoted prices represent their most favored pricing and do not exceed prices charged to other customers for similar products and quantities. Delivery time is a deciding factor in vendor selection. Quotes must remain firm for a minimum of ten days. Material Safety Data Sheets for all hazardous chemicals are required with submission.

LP&L reserves the right to award quotes on an item-by-item basis or on an all-or-none basis. Payment may be made using the City's MasterCard purchasing card without additional surcharges. Standard contract terms apply, including Texas Government Code compliance regarding restrictions on entities owned or controlled by designated countries and non-discrimination provisions regarding firearm entities and energy company boycotts. Prompt payment discount terms may be offered but will not be considered in determining the low bid. Submit quotes to Quincy Gutierrez at qgutierrez@mylubbock.us.
