About this opportunity
The City of Sandersville, Georgia is seeking bids for a comprehensive sewer investigation construction project involving extensive infrastructure assessment and maintenance. The procurement opportunity requires a contractor to perform smoke testing on approximately 75,000 linear feet of sewer lines, conduct approximately 210 manhole inspections, and execute infiltration and low flow investigations during nighttime hours (12 a.m. to 5 a.m.). Additional project requirements include cleaning and televising approximately 30,000 linear feet of sewer lines, as well as performing pressure testing and grouting of mainline joints and lateral connections. The project has a defined construction timeline of 120 consecutive calendar days, with bids due on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. local time. Bidders must submit a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Sandersville for at least 5% of the total bid amount, and all proposals must remain valid for 60 days following the submission deadline. Specifications for the project can be obtained from Turnipseed Engineers' website for a $50 fee, which includes digital and printed documentation.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the available documentation. Bidders are required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount, which must be submitted within 10 days of award notification. The City of Sandersville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. While a specific budget range was not disclosed, the comprehensive nature of the sewer investigation suggests a potentially significant contract value. Interested contractors should carefully review the detailed specifications and ensure they can meet the technical requirements for this municipal infrastructure project. The procurement appears to be structured as a single general contract, with no indication of multiple award possibilities or incumbent vendor information.
