About this opportunity

The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is soliciting professional engineering and environmental services to develop bid-ready documents for storm damage recovery projects in four western Alaska communities: Golovin, Elim, Koyuk, and Hooper Bay. These projects are specifically designed to address infrastructure damage caused by Typhoon Merbok and subsequent fall 2022 Bering and Chukchi Sea storm events. The procurement seeks comprehensive professional services to prepare detailed project documentation, with an estimated performance period spanning from December 2025 through December 2030. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the ZendTo platform or physically deposited in the designated drop box by November 21, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. local time. Interested firms can obtain the Request for Proposals (RFP) package beginning October 30, 2025, via the DOT website, in-person at the Engineering Services Building in Fairbanks, or by mail request through the provided contact number.

The contract opportunity does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged business enterprises. The estimated cost of professional services exceeds $1,000,000, indicating a substantial project scope with significant potential for qualified engineering and environmental consulting firms.
