About this opportunity

The City of Alpharetta is seeking proposals for a comprehensive equestrian ring construction and maintenance project identified as Solicitation 25-107, which focuses on improving the Wills Park Equestrian Center. The procurement specifically targets contractors with demonstrated expertise in constructing, installing, and maintaining equestrian ring footings and underdrain systems, with a primary scope involving the remodeling of rings #2 and #4 and associated stormwater improvements. Proposals will be evaluated by a review committee representing the City, who will assess contractors based on their technical capabilities, experience, and overall suitability for the project. The solicitation was posted on January 23, 2025, with proposals due by February 20, 2025, and can be accessed through the City of Alpharetta's Bonfire Project Web Page. Qualified contractors must demonstrate comprehensive understanding of equestrian facility construction, with the City's intent to issue a single contract covering both ring renovation projects.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the solicitation, the project may involve partial funding from the Wills Park Equestrian Foundation, which could potentially influence contractor selection criteria. The project is located in Fulton County, Georgia, and targets contractors capable of executing complex equestrian facility improvements. The solicitation suggests that the project involves significant infrastructure upgrades, potentially requiring specialized construction techniques for ring footings and underdrain systems. Although exact budget ranges are not specified, the comprehensive nature of the project and the involvement of multiple rings indicates a substantial investment in facility improvements. Contractors interested in this opportunity should be prepared to demonstrate extensive experience in specialized equestrian facility construction, familiarity with stormwater management techniques, and the capability to execute complex, multi-phase renovation projects.
