About this opportunity
The City of Flowery Branch in Hall County, Georgia, is soliciting competitive bids for Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 25-006, seeking various chemicals for wastewater and drinking water treatment during Fiscal Year 2026. The procurement includes seven specific chemicals: ACH (Aluminum Chlorohydrate 23%), Bleach (Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5%), Caustic Soda 50%, Citric Acid, Fluoride, Muriatic Acid, and Polymer. Vendors must guarantee pricing for a twelve-month period from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, with deliveries made on an "as needed, when needed" basis. All drinking water chemicals must have NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 Certification, and bidders are required to use trucks with liftgates for deliveries, which must be accompanied by city staff. Specifically for polymer, bidders must schedule and complete a performance evaluation. Key dates include a question deadline of March 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. EST and bid submission deadline of April 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. EST.
The solicitation does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Delivery requirements are strict, mandating that trucks must have liftgates, with box trucks specifically required for drinking water deliveries. The city reserves the right to make secondary and tertiary awards and to award by individual item or in total. For contracts exceeding $100,000, bid bonds, performance bonds, and payment bonds will be required. While no specific budget range is provided, the procurement indicates that no minimum or maximum quantities are guaranteed, suggesting flexibility in potential contract value. Vendors must include all applicable taxes and freight charges in their unit prices, and deliveries must be completed within 5-7 days of order placement. The competitive bidding process allows for comprehensive evaluation of chemical vendors based on meeting technical specifications, delivery capabilities, and pricing.
