About this opportunity

The Texas Department of Transportation is requesting bids on twenty-four (24) 24-inch steel reinforcement cages with anchor bolts for concrete foundations supporting traffic signal poles, with responses due October 20, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Central Time. All items must be new, latest-model equipment in current production exhibiting high-quality workmanship and materials.

Respondents must be registered on the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Centralized Master Bidders List and hold a vendor performance rating of A, B, or C in the Texas Comptroller Vendor Performance Tracking System. Responses are irrevocable for 120 calendar days following the due date.

All pricing must be firm, all-inclusive, and fixed on a per-unit basis with FOB Destination delivery; vendors bear all shipping costs and liabilities. Purchases are exempt from state and local sales tax and federal excise tax. The contract includes a one-year performance warranty for defects in workmanship and a material warranty of not less than 12 months covering 100 percent of parts and labor, commencing upon TxDOT acceptance of the goods.

Award will be based on best value to the State, considering purchase price, compliance with specifications, and risk of vendor non-performance as primary factors. TxDOT reserves the right to make multiple awards. The tentative contract award date is October 23, 2026.

Respondents must acknowledge receipt of Addendum 1 (issued October 7, 2026) either on the face of their response or by returning one copy of the notice; failure to do so may result in the response not being given consideration. Respondents with at least 25 percent ownership interest must complete and sign the Child Support Obligation Schedule certifying compliance with Texas Family Code Section 231.006; failure to do so may render the response non-responsive. Questions are directed to Enrique Moya Jr., CTCD, at Enrique.Moya@txdot.gov or 512-416-2105. Responses must be submitted through the TxDOT Procurement Portal (Bonfire platform) at https://txdot.bonfirehub.com/.
