About this opportunity

The California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) #24-71009-000 for the provision of critical incident stress management and post-trauma crisis support services for all DSH employees and their family members across multiple California jurisdictions, including San Luis Obispo County, San Bernardino County, Napa City, Napa County, San Luis Obispo City, Los Angeles County, Fresno County, Lake Los Angeles CDP, West Sacramento City, Sacramento County, Fresno City, San Bernardino City, Sacramento City, Los Angeles City, and East Los Angeles CDP. The contractor must have the ability to provide these 24/7/365 confidential and independent services, which are a supplement to the services provided by the CalHR Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and other DSH internal resources. The contract term is anticipated to begin on October 1, 2024 and continue through September 30, 2027. Proposers must have at least three years of experience and expertise in providing the required services, as well as experience providing services in hospital facilities or similar institutional environments. Proposals will be evaluated on key personnel, specific experience, technical approach, and cost proposal.

The RFP was open to bidders across the specified jurisdictions, and there were no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that could respond. The DSH has decided to revoke the Intent to Award and exercise its right not to award any contract as a result of this RFP process. The notice states that the DSH appreciates the time and commitment of the bidders and hopes they will continue to participate in future bidding opportunities with the State of California.
