About this opportunity

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is requesting bids on a 22-foot aluminum boat package consisting of one boat, one 150 HP 4-stroke outboard motor, and one boat trailer with tandem axles, with bids due August 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM Central Time under IFB. Bidders must hold an active and valid Marine Dealer License, Marine Distributor License, or Marine Manufacturer License under Texas Parks and Wildlife Code 31.041 and provide current documentation verifying authorization to distribute the specific vessel make and model.

The boat must feature all-welded construction, 15-degree V-hull design, minimum 0.125-inch aluminum thickness, non-slip diamond plate flooring, center console with hydraulic steering, accommodations for a trolling motor, 20-gallon fuel tank, LED navigation lights, and three-bank battery charger system; approved examples include SeaArk 2272 V-Jon, Vexus ACX 2210, or TPWD-approved equivalent. The motor must be Mercury or Yamaha. The trailer must include load-bearing fenders, torsion suspension, surge brakes, waterproof LED lighting, spare tire and wheel, and aluminum I-beam frame. All equipment must be new, unused, and covered by manufacturer's standard warranty. The USCG-approved fire extinguisher is required. Delivery is to the TPWD Inland Fisheries Division office in Wichita Falls, Texas, with freight charges FOB destination and prepaid shipping included in the bid price; TPWD reserves the option to pick up if the vendor is in close proximity.

Award will be made on a best-value basis considering price, boat design and safety, bidder qualifications, delivery schedule, past performance, life cycle costs, and installation costs. Bids are binding for 60 business days from the bid due date. Payment is due within 30 days of receipt of a properly prepared invoice following acceptance of goods. Bidders must comply with E-Verify employment verification and certifications regarding debarment, drug-free workplace, boycott of Israel compliance, and absence of felony criminal convictions. The contract is governed by Texas law with venue in Travis County, Texas.
