About this opportunity
The City of Edinburg Parks & Recreation Department is requesting sealed bids for 12,000 custom-printed race shirts (11,500 white and 500 red) for the 2027 All-America City David Chavana 10K Run/Walk, Fun Run, and Miracle Mile events, with bids due September 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. — a deadline that has already passed as of today's date. A local-vendor preference of 5% applies to bidders whose principal place of business is located within the City of Edinburg if their bid is within 5% of the lowest bid.
The white crew-neck short-sleeve dri-fit shirts for the 10K and Fun Run require two-color front printing, one-color back printing, and two-color sleeve logos. The red crew-neck short-sleeve dri-fit shirts for the Miracle Mile carry the same printing specifications. Sizing spans youth small through 3XL with City-specified quantity allocations per size. Vendors must provide color separations. Delivery is required by January 11, 2027, prior to race-day packet pickup.
Bidding is on a unit-cost basis per line item, with vendors submitting separate pricing for artwork fees, setup fees, and shipping. State sales tax should not be included. The City reserves the right to award to multiple vendors on a low-bid-per-item basis or to award all items individually or in combination, contingent on budget approval. Bids must include completed vendor questionnaires, conflict-of-interest disclosures, and certifications under Texas House Bill 89 (Israel boycott prohibition), Senate Bill 13 (energy company boycott prohibition), and Senate Bill 19 (firearm discrimination prohibition). Insurance requirements apply based on contract value thresholds. Questions were due September 18, 2026. Bids are being received electronically or by hard copy, with public opening scheduled for September 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall, 415 W. University Drive, Edinburg, Texas 78539. Payment follows Texas law, issued by mail after invoice submission.
