About this opportunity

The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Office of State Procurement Services, is requesting quotations for truck cargo glides and hard folding bed covers for six 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks under RFQ 18P 26050600000000000284, with quotations due June 10, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

The scope includes slide-out truck bed trays with a 1,500-pound payload capacity and hard folding bed covers, both designed for GMC Sierra 1500s with 4-wheel drive, extended cab configuration, and 6.5-foot beds. Slide-out tray specifications require a platform of at least three-quarter-inch laminated marine-grade plywood with at least 75 percent extension, a steel frame with safety locks every 12 inches, 10 sealed bearings, and aluminum sidewalls. Hard folding bed covers must provide total bed access, fold completely, and secure against the cab. Bidders must submit manufacturer literature verifying specification compliance and any equivalency documentation for proposed alternatives.

Installation of both components on all six vehicles is required at the Central Fleet Management location in Augusta, Maine, with all units returned following installation. The quotation must include all shipping charges under Free on Board Destination terms, with the State bearing no responsibility for goods until receipt in Augusta. The State is exempt from federal, state, and local taxes and requests quotations without such taxes included.

Award will be made on a best-value basis to the lowest-priced qualified bidder meeting all specifications. Delivery timeframe is a factor in the award decision. The State anticipates one award but reserves the right to make multiple awards or no award. The State reserves the right to negotiate the purchase of additional units at the bid price for six months following award. Bid prices must remain valid for 180 days from the date and time of bid opening. Questions may be submitted up to 48 hours prior to the closure date and time.
