About this opportunity

The Douglasville-Douglas County Water & Sewer Authority is soliciting competitive sealed bids for dry and liquid treatment chemicals through Invitation for Bids (IFB# 299), covering a one-calendar-year contract period from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. The procurement is specifically for chemical treatment supplies required for water and sewer operations, with a requirement that delivery pricing remain firm throughout the contract year. Sealed bids must be submitted to the Authority's Administrative Offices at 8763 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Georgia 30134, with a strict submission deadline of 2:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Interested bidders can obtain the full bid package at no cost by contacting Joseph Morency, Senior Procurement Specialist, via telephone at 770-949-7617 or email at jmorency@ddcwsa.com. The Authority reserves the right to reject any non-responsive bids or submissions from non-responsible bidders, and maintains discretion to waive technicalities in the bidding process.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the documentation, the procurement appears open to qualified chemical treatment suppliers who can meet the Authority's specifications. The bid does not indicate current incumbent vendors or specify precise budget ranges for the chemical treatment supplies. Potential bidders should note the Authority's comprehensive evaluation approach, which seems to prioritize responsiveness, vendor reliability, and competitive pricing. No specific integration requirements with existing infrastructure are detailed in the available documentation. Prospective vendors should carefully review the full bid package to understand the complete scope of chemical treatment needs and ensure their capabilities align with the Authority's requirements for the one-year contract period.
