About this opportunity
The Town of Erie, Colorado, located in Weld County, is seeking a contractor for 2025 Asphalt Repair Services through an as-needed maintenance contract. The procurement aims to secure a vendor capable of performing comprehensive asphalt infrastructure repairs, including full depth, infrared, and overlay patching at various town locations. Electronic bids will be received through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (RMEPS) until 12:00 pm local time on May 6, 2025, with the intent to establish an ongoing maintenance Agreement for Services for 2025 and potential extensions for up to four additional one-year periods. The contractor will be expected to complete emergency repairs within an agreed-upon notification period and perform work as directed by the Public Works Department. The bid includes a detailed unit-price bid form with 19 line items covering various aspects of asphalt repair, from mobilization and traffic control to different types of surface repairs based on area and thickness. Evaluation will likely focus on comprehensive pricing, technical capability, and ability to respond quickly to repair needs.
While no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondents are explicitly mentioned, the contract requires contractors to maintain comprehensive insurance coverage, including worker's compensation and commercial general liability insurance with specific coverage limits. The total annual compensation is constrained by the Town's annual budget, with potential price increases limited to 2% or the Denver-Boulder-Greeley Consumer Price Index for subsequent renewal terms. Contractors will be required to submit itemized invoices detailing performed work, and the compensation structure is based on unit pricing for specific repair services. Although a precise budget range is not specified, the contract suggests flexibility in service delivery with a focus on as-needed repairs. The procurement appears open to qualified contractors with demonstrated expertise in municipal asphalt repair and the capability to respond efficiently to both scheduled maintenance and emergency repair requirements.
