2023 Wilbraham Wastewater Instrumentation and Controls Project

The Town of Wilbraham, located in Hampden County, Massachusetts, is seeking bids for the 2023 Wastewater Pump Stations Instrumentation and Communication Project. This Request for Quote (RFQ) involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing pump station equipment, including float or transducer replacement, and instrument and communication system work or installation across 14 pump station locations within the town. The project has a one-year contract term, with the option to extend for up to two additional 12-month periods at the Town's discretion. The RFQ requires a response by January 25, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., and the contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified, responsive, and responsible bidder based on straight-time labor cost. The Town estimates 75 hours of instrumentation and communication labor, with a parts and equipment budget of $15,000 before an 8% markup. The Town reserves the right to supply parts and equipment and may employ an independent expert to inspect the work, and all work must be completed during normal business hours on straight time unless approved by the Town.

The Prevailing Wage Schedule from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards must be incorporated into the construction contract. The schedule outlines the required minimum hourly wage rates for various construction trades and occupations required for the project. The Town also reserves the right to cancel the contract or award it to multiple bidders in the event of a tie. The contract value or budget range for this project is not explicitly stated in the available information.
