About this opportunity
Northville Public Schools has issued an Invitation to Bid for interior remodeling work at three elementary schools: Ridge Wood Elementary, Silver Springs Elementary, and Winchester Elementary, located in the Berrien County and New Haven Village jurisdictions of Michigan. The procurement seeks firm prime contractor trade-specific bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the interior remodeling projects at these facilities. Plans and specifications are available for download from AUCH Construction (65 University, Pontiac, MI 48342; 248.334.2000) beginning October 22, 2020. A mandatory pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for October 28, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. at Silver Springs Elementary School, with subsequent site visits to Winchester Elementary and Ridge Wood Elementary. Bid proposals must be submitted to the Northville Board of Education (405 West Main Street, Northville, MI 48167) no later than 12:00 p.m. on November 12, 2020, with public bid opening and reading aloud occurring at 1:00 p.m. on the same date via a virtual meeting link provided by addendum. All bids must remain firm for 60 days following submission, and bidders must comply with Michigan's equal opportunity laws and submit a sworn and notarized familial disclosure statement in compliance with MCL 380.1267 disclosing any relationships between the bidder or its employees and Northville Public Schools Board members or superintendent.
Bidders must submit written proposals only; oral, telephone, fax, and electronic mail submissions are invalid. Bid proposals exceeding $25,288 must be accompanied by a Treasury-listed bid bond or certified check made payable to Northville Public Schools for not less than five percent (5%) of the contract amount. The procurement does not identify specific set-aside designations or restrictions on organization types that can respond. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure integration requirements are listed in the solicitation documentation. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, award to other than the low bidder, waive irregularities and informalities, and make awards in its best interest, indicating that evaluation will consider factors beyond price alone.
