About this opportunity
The State of Maine is requesting bids on 2011 Bombardier snowmobiles with bids due August 31, 2010. A preference for in-state bidders or Maine-manufactured commodities applies where price, quality, and availability are equal.
The scope comprises three Ski-Doo models — the Skandic WT with Rotax 600 ACE 4-stroke engine, the Tundra Sport with Rotax 550 cc fan-cooled engine, and the Renegade Sport with Rotax 600 ACE 4-stroke engine. Each unit must be equipped with a blue-light LED package, OEM Bombardier factory covers, two extra Bombardier factory belts, mirrors, and a hitch. The Tundra Sport includes one gallon of Bombardier mineral injection oil. Detailed technical specifications for each model are provided in separate specification documents addressing engine configurations, suspension systems, track and ski dimensions, braking systems, seating, and dimensional tolerances.
Bids must state separate unit prices for each snowmobile model in the quantities requested, with delivery to destination. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Prices must exclude Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes. Bidders should specify delivery terms in definite language; delivery time may factor into award decisions. Discounts of less than 20 days are not considered in contract award. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept items individually or as a group, award to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value, and adjust quantities up to 10 percent. Contractors must furnish items exactly as specified; any deviation is subject to rejection. Manufacturers of hazardous chemicals must provide current material safety data sheets per Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law. Bids must be submitted electronically to the Division of Purchases, 9 State House Station, Room 119, Augusta, Maine by the August 31 closing date.
