About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting sealed bids for 2009 Metal Dog Tags, with bids due July 23, 2008.
Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value considerations, including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery date, and total cost. All bids must be received at the Division of Purchases office, Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine by the closing date and time. Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item unless otherwise specified and must include all transportation charges, freight, and delivery costs prepaid at the contractor's expense. Delivery terms must be specified in definite language.
Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in determining the low bidder; discounts under 20 days will not be considered. The state is exempt from Federal and Maine state sales and use taxes, and bidders should quote prices exclusive of these taxes. If any hazardous chemicals are included, current material safety data sheets must be provided to direct purchasers and comply with the Maine Chemical Substance Identification Law.
The state reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities or technicalities, and accept items deemed in the best interest of Maine. In the event of contractor default, the state reserves the right to procure materials from alternate sources and charge any excess costs to the original contractor. Contractors are not liable for delays resulting from strikes, fires, acts of God, or other causes beyond reasonable control.
