About this opportunity
The Oregon Department of Transportation, Region 2, is requesting bids for a 2-inch overlay paving project on OR228 from MP0.37 to MP5.00 near Halsey under Bid Number S-73000-00017511, with bids due July 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. This solicitation is restricted to price agreement holders only under the On-Call Region 2 Paving Price Agreement series — a mandatory cooperative-purchasing vehicle that filters eligible bidders.
The project scope is full-width edge-of-pavement overlay paving on a 4.63-mile segment in Lincoln County, with specific exclusions: Spoon Creek Bridge (MP1.34) and the I5 interchange (MP2.175–2.655) are skipped. Work includes wing-outs at paved driveways (2.5 feet per inch of asphalt concrete pavement thickness) and tapers to existing grade; 0–2 inch milled tapers at four project start and stop points and at county road approaches (taper lengths per ODOT RD610 for highway butt joints; 50 feet per inch of ACP thickness for county road connections); restoration of longitudinal markings, legends, bars, and rumble strips to match existing color, layout, location, and material; and bike path paving along the Halsey end per attached specification. Two portable changeable message signs (PCMS), one in each direction, must be installed to warn the public during paving operations.
Bid documents were available as of July 16, 2026. No pre-bid conference is scheduled. Electronic quotes are accepted. This is classified as an informal open market purchase using the Master Blanket Selection Process under NIGP Code 913-95.
