About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotations for two firewall appliances — one primary and one secondary — with quotations due June 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
Quotations must be submitted electronically through the State of Maine's Vendor Self Service (VSS) platform. All questions must be posted through the VSS Question and Answer link and will receive written responses. Equivalent items may be substituted if approved by the Director of the Division of Purchases.
Unit pricing is required for each item. The state reserves the right to reject any or all quotations, waive irregularities, or partially accept quotations. Award decisions will be made on the basis of lowest-priced conforming bid or on a combination of factors including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery time, and total cost to the state, with price weighted at a minimum of 25 percent of total evaluation criteria. Cash discounts offered for payment within 20 days or more may be considered in the evaluation.
Delivery is FOB Destination, with the successful bidder responsible for all transportation costs and prepaid freight to the designated delivery location. Standard payment terms are net 30 days from receipt of a correct invoice. The state is exempt from federal and state taxes; quotations must be submitted exclusive of these taxes.
The Division of Purchases reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent at the agreed-upon pricing and to terminate contracts in whole or in part at its discretion. All quotations are considered final upon electronic submission unless withdrawn prior to the bid closure deadline. The contract is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Maine.
