The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotes for the manufacture and delivery of 11 gill nets for Reg. C Fisheries, with quotes due December 11, 2013.
The scope comprises seven distinct net types in quantities totaling 11 units: one 200-foot Net #1 with four graduated mesh panels (1.0 to 2.5 inches), three 200-foot Net #2 units with single 3.0-inch mesh panels, one 400-foot Net #3 with four graduated mesh panels (2.0 to 4.0 inches), three 200-foot Net #4 units with single 2.0-inch mesh panels, one 200-foot Net #5 with single 3.5-inch mesh panel, one 300-foot Net #6 with single 2.5-inch mesh panel, and one 200-foot Net #7 with two graduated mesh panels (1.5 to 2.0 inches). All nets must be 6 feet in height and manufactured from multifilament or monofilament nylon twine with specified diameters; each includes standardized float line and lead line components with precise dimensional requirements. All nets must be delivered to Jonesboro by May 1, 2014, with delivery costs included in pricing.
Vendors must submit a sample net at their own expense prior to award to verify compliance with specifications. All submitted nets must match the attached specifications exactly. Technical questions must be submitted through the Question and Answer link on the Solicitation Details View page, with responses posted in the same location; vendors are responsible for monitoring the portal.
Under State of Maine General Terms and Conditions, the contractor warrants that all supplied articles conform to specifications and are free from defects in material and workmanship. Articles remain subject to final inspection and approval after delivery, with the Division retaining the right to reject non-conforming items or entire shipments if sample inspection reveals ten percent or more defective articles. The contractor assumes responsibility for remedying defects appearing within one year from the date of final acceptance.
