About this opportunity
The California Geological Survey, Department of Conservation (the Department) is seeking proposals for a contractor to interpret and analyze strong-motion data on building response through its California Strong Motion Instrumentation Program (CSMIP). The proposed study should utilize CSMIP's strong-motion data recorded from selected instrumented buildings to further the understanding of seismic responses of building structures. The Department will award a maximum of $100,000 for the Agreement, which will be in effect from November 1, 2024, or upon Department of General Services (DGS) approval, through December 31, 2026. Proposals are due by June 24, 2024 at 5:00 PM. The contractor must meet minimum qualifications related to experience in understanding ground motions, building responses, seismic design codes, and strong-motion data analysis. Proposals will be evaluated based on the technical quality of the proposed study, the competence of the project team, and the cost proposal.
Small businesses and disabled veteran-owned businesses are eligible for preferences. The selected contractor will be required to provide progress reports, present at CSMIP seminars, and submit a final report on the project results. The budget for the Agreement cannot exceed $100,000.
