About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities/Central State Hospital is soliciting an open agency contract for scrap metal removal, with quotations due April 30, 2010.

The contractor must provide a 30-cubic-yard container compliant with EPA guidelines for metal storage and disposal, and remove scrap metal from the facility. The contractor pays the state per unit of scrap metal removed — a reverse-revenue model in which the state receives compensation rather than paying for the service.

The initial contract term is one year with four one-year renewal options at the state's discretion and with contractor consent, for a potential total of five years. The state requires total-cost pricing. Price adjustments are indexed to the U.S. Department of Labor Producer Price Index for metal scrap; if the index decreases, the state's total cost decreases proportionally, but if it increases, the state's cost increases accordingly.
