About this opportunity
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement to implement the USAID/Kenya and East Africa Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Activity. The activity aims to support individuals, households, and communities in adopting and maintaining priority health behaviors by addressing factors that influence these behaviors, increasing the availability and use of SBC evidence, strengthening Government of Kenya systems and capacity for SBC, and building technical capacity for SBC interventions. Eligible applicants are restricted to Kenyan organizations. The application process includes submission of concept papers, oral presentations by shortlisted applicants, and a full technical and cost application submission. The concept paper submission deadline is May 8, 2024.
The total anticipated funding for this 5-year cooperative agreement is up to $14,950,000, with a base amount of approximately $6.25 million and up to $8.7 million in additional opportunity modules. The activity aligns with USAID's global health priorities and Kenyan government strategies, and supports health-focused social and behavior change interventions in Kenya.
