About this opportunity
The Department of State Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation is seeking applicants to support partner implementation of sanctions imposed against Russia and Belarus in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Applicants are invited to propose projects with descriptions, budgets under $500,000, and requests for total funds to build foreign partner capacity to counter Russian sanctions evasion efforts in the financial, maritime, aviation, and logistics sectors. Proposals will be evaluated on a rolling basis with awards between $50,000 to $300,000 made through September 2024 under the Global Threat Reduction program. Applications are due by January 31, 2024 and awardees will report on activities and financials on a schedule defined in the assistance agreement.
Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, universities, federally funded research centers, and for-profit organizations proposing to operate in multiple countries and regions globally. Successful proposals will reduce threats from terrorist organizations or states of concern by permitting continued oversight of complex financial networks and restricting sanctioned countries' access to global trade.
