About this opportunity

The U.S. Consulate General Karachi Public Diplomacy Section seeks proposals to strengthen radio media in Pakistan's Sindh and Balochistan provinces through a cooperative agreement award. Eligible non-profit organizations may apply to leverage U.S. media expertise to empower local radio stations, promote cultural exchange, and improve broadcast quality and outreach over 18 to 24 months. Applicants must outline objectives, submit proposals between $200,000 to $250,000, and incorporate U.S. government messaging to raise awareness of bilateral cooperation frameworks. Proposals will be evaluated based on program design, organizational experience and budgets, with an April 15, 2024 deadline.

Funding is provided through the Public Diplomacy Programs for Afghanistan and Pakistan program administered by the Department of State under CFDA number 19.501, which supports public diplomacy initiatives in the regions. Successful applicants may receive between $200,000 to $250,000 and will conduct radio media strengthening activities in the Sindh and Balochistan provinces of Pakistan over 18 to 24 month performance periods.
