About this opportunity

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Administration for Native Americans (ANA) is offering the Social and Economic Development Strategies (SEDS) program, a funding opportunity focused on community-driven projects designed to grow local economies, strengthen Native American families, preserve Native cultures, and decrease challenges caused by the lack of community-based businesses and social and economic infrastructure in Native American communities. Eligible applicants include federally recognized tribes, incorporated non-federally recognized tribes, tribal organizations, Native community development financial institutions, and other Native American nonprofit entities. The program requires a 20% cost-share match from applicants, with potential waivers available, and successful applications will demonstrate community-based strategies, measurable objectives, and a plan for sustaining positive outcomes beyond the grant period.

The total estimated program funding is $13 million to support approximately 14 projects, with individual grant awards ranging from $100,000 to $900,000. The expected award date is September 30, 2024, and the application deadline is May 22, 2024.
