About this opportunity

The Small Business Administration is soliciting Cooperative Agreement proposals to establish a Women's Business Centers modernization and alignment initiative in Georgia, with applications due September 13, 2026. Eligible applicants are limited to private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with experience providing technical services to women and other entrepreneurs; faith-based organizations may compete while maintaining their religious character. The selected awardee must reside in Georgia and serve as the Lead Center, coordinating an integrated service delivery approach across a network of Service Centers statewide.

Individual award values typically range around $150,000 annually. Awardees receive initial five-year terms or renewal three-year terms, with annual option-year awards issued without recompetition to compliant centers. The source does not specify cost share or matching requirements beyond confirmation of match as an evaluation criterion (15 points).

Evaluation criteria total 100 points across nine categories: Project Objectives and Milestones (20 points), Organizational Experience and Capacity (15 points), Financial Management Capability and Match Confirmation (15 points), Market Assessment for Services Provided (15 points), Mission Alignment and Experience (10 points), Plans for Marketing and Collaboration (10 points), Sources and Leverage of Other Funds (5 points), Program Evaluation and Economic Impact (5 points), and Technological Capabilities (5 points).

The initiative funds delivery of business development services to women entrepreneurs, with emphasis on socially and economically disadvantaged women business owners. Technical assistance includes finance, management, marketing, and procurement readiness. Awardees must maintain detailed client activity records and financial records for three years after final report submission. This opportunity falls under CFDA 59.043, Women's Business Ownership Assistance, administered by the SBA's Office of Women's Business Ownership.
