About this opportunity

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Pakistan to obtain baseline information from local Pakistani organizations and conduct market research to design a series of customized workshops. The purpose of the workshops is to: (1) provide different ways and avenues for Pakistani organizations to work with USAID, (2) build the capacity of local organizations to take a leading role in USAID's development process in Pakistan, and (3) enable local organizations to be better placed for future co-creation efforts. The RFI defines local organization eligibility criteria and requests interested parties to submit information about their organization, geographic focus, sector expertise, and previous USAID experience. USAID is seeking feedback on potential workshop topics and willingness to attend workshops in designated locations. This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a funding opportunity or application process.

The RFI is issued under the USAID Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas grant program (CFDA 98.001), which funds a wide range of international development and humanitarian assistance initiatives. Recent Federal Grant Awards under this program range from $250,000 to over $70 million, with typical durations of 1-5 years. The information gathered through this RFI will support USAID's localization strategy to enable local actors to lead development solutions in Pakistan.

Synopsis

The purpose of this RFI is to obtain baseline information from local organizations and conduct market research to design a series of workshops customized to the Pakistani context that aims to:

(1) provide different ways and avenues for Pakistani organizations on how to work with USAID,

(2) build the capacity of local organizations to take a leading role in USAID's development process in Pakistan, and

(3) enable local organizations to be better placed for future co-creation. Co-creation is defined as a participatory design process that aims to produce better outcomes by tapping into ideas, resources, energy of people and organizations that share a stake in the solution of the program.

These series of workshops will complement the Mission Pakistan's localization strategy that seeks to enable local actors to set their own agendas, develop solutions and bring their leadership and resources to make those solutions a reality.
