About this opportunity
This federal grant opportunity is a replacement for grant 90YE0300 and is being offered by the Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families. The grant will fund a coordinated evaluation of Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) policies and initiatives implementation grants for 2023. The key objectives are to assess the implementation and impacts of CCDF-funded programs and policies across states. Eligible applicants include other entities beyond just Public Policy Associates LLC, the previous grant recipient. Proposals will be evaluated based on factors such as the quality of the research design, expertise of the project team, and potential for the evaluation to inform child care policymaking. The proposal deadline is September 27, 2024.
Award amounts under this CCDF research and evaluation grant are likely to range from $100,000 for smaller projects to over $1 million for larger, multi-year efforts. The scope is national, aiming to generate insights applicable across states and territories on topics like improving access to affordable, high-quality child care and supporting the child care workforce. The place of performance is flexible and can include partnerships between state agencies, universities, and other research institutions.
