The objective of this Agreement is to provide more than 1,500 students and their teachers the opportunity to live and learn in a national park for three days during the school week each fall and spring. This is a robust youth engagement program, designed and delivered in partnership with Prince Williams Forest Park, which overcomes the capacity and delivery constraints of the NPS. Educators will be Wilderness First Responders or First aid certified. Program content will include the study of the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed found in the Mid-Atlantic region including geology, plant, creek, forest, and animal ecology.
