Synopsis

PAS Mumbai is seeking proposals to promote environmentally sustainable agricultural practices and foster adaptability to climate change through capacity development of farming communities in India. This project supports U.S. Department of State goals of facilitating economic development and addressing global climate change by promoting sustainable agricultural practices in India through the adoption of climate-smart agriculture (CSA), defined by the World Bank as "an integrated approach to managing landscapes - cropland, livestock, forests and fisheries - that address the interlinked challenges of food security and climate change."

Project Objectives:

Train 50-60 representatives/members of farming communities and influencers of western India in climate-smart agriculture principles and techniques in one year.
