About this opportunity
The Administration for Children and Families is soliciting cooperative agreement applications for Predictive Analytics in Child Welfare Demonstration Grants with a July 13, 2026 deadline, seeking to fund state, territorial, and tribal child welfare agencies as demonstration sites for effective predictive analytics implementation. Eligible applicants are limited to state governments, county governments, city/township governments, and federally recognized tribal governments; individuals, federal entities, and foreign entities are ineligible.
The program will distribute $6 million across approximately 10 awards ranging from $400,000 to $600,000 per award. This represents full funding for a three-year project period with a September 30, 2026 expected start date. Grantees must focus on four core activities: designing, implementing, and testing predictive analytics strategies; building and sustaining agency capacity; participating in collaboration and shared learning with the Children's Bureau's technical assistance network; and evaluating training and technical assistance activities. Award recipients are required to attend mandatory yearly in-person meetings and monthly virtual meetings, maintain a substantive project role, and disseminate findings and best practices nationally.
Applications are limited to 90 pages maximum, including project narrative, budget narrative, and supporting attachments. Merit review emphasizes objectives, approach, evaluation capacity, and organizational capacity (40 of 110 total points). Bonus points are available for participation in the "A Home for Every Child" initiative. Applicants must register with SAM.gov and Grants.gov and submit electronically unless an exemption is granted. Awards are subject to 2 CFR 200 compliance and ACF priorities including program integrity, evidence-based practices, and partnership with local leadership. The opportunity falls under CFDA 93.670 (Child Abuse and Neglect Discretionary Activities). Non-competing continuations will be available based on satisfactory progress and fund availability.
