About this opportunity

This federal grant opportunity is seeking applications for doctoral training consortia to prepare leadership personnel in special education, early intervention, and related services for children with high-intensity disabilities. Eligible applicants are institutions of higher education and nonprofit organizations partnering with an IHE. Applications are due March 4, 2024 and will be evaluated based on the ability to increase qualified leadership personnel through doctoral consortia.

The award period for each cooperative agreement is up to 60 months with estimated individual awards ranging from $5.5 to $6.5 million over five years. The doctoral training consortia will be established through partnerships between multiple higher education institutions to provide evidence-based services improving outcomes for children with high-intensity needs in various state-identified areas.
