About this opportunity
The Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women is soliciting applications for an Administrative Funding Adjustment to existing grants under the Grants to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus program (CFDA 16.525), with applications due August 31, 2026. This is an invitation to apply for current award recipients only, not a new competition; applicants must reference the original NOFO under which their prior award was made and consult OVW's FY 2026 Application Companion Guide for program purposes and requirements.
Eligible applicants are institutions of higher education as defined under the Higher Education Amendments of 1998 that are in compliance with campus crime reporting requirements under 20 U.S.C. 1092(f), including public, private, and community colleges as well as historically black colleges and universities, Hispanic-serving institutions, and tribal colleges and universities. Consortia of eligible institutions of higher education may also apply provided each member is independently eligible.
Recent awards under this program have typically ranged from $348,000 to $500,000 for four-year initiatives and $350,000 to $400,000 for three-year continuation awards. Funded activities include developing and strengthening victim services including legal services, implementing prevention and education programs with emphasis on bystander intervention training, providing 24-hour confidential victim advocacy, training campus personnel in trauma-informed investigation and response, and establishing campus-wide protocols and policies. The program prioritizes culturally specific strategies tailored to first-generation students, LGBTQ+ populations, students with disabilities, immigrant and undocumented students, student-athletes, and other underserved populations.
Applicants must apply through Grants.gov and the Department of Justice's JustGrants System. Financial records and supporting documents must be retained for three years from the date of final expenditure report submission.
