About this opportunity
The Office on Violence Against Women within the Department of Justice is seeking applications from federally recognized tribal governments for its Grants to Indian Tribal Governments Program. This program aims to increase tribal capacity to respond to violent crimes against Indian women and develop victim services for cases involving domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and stalking in tribal communities. Applicants will be evaluated based on their proposals to address these issues. Applications are due no later than April 24, 2024.
Awards under this program are made under the Violence Against Women Discretionary Grants for Indian Tribal Governments (CFDA 16.587). Funding will help tribal governments and their authorized designees enhance victim safety and offender accountability. Work will be performed on tribal lands to benefit American Indian and Alaska Native victims of domestic and sexual violence.
