About this opportunity
The Office of Justice Programs' Victims of Crime division seeks to fund the development, enhancement, and coordination of programs and activities that improve outcomes for child and youth victims of sex and labor trafficking. Eligible applicants include state governments and federally recognized tribal governments that will develop and implement statewide or tribal jurisdiction-wide strategic plans addressing the identification and service provision for trafficking victims, as well as the identification, investigation, and prosecution of traffickers. Proposals will be evaluated based on eligibility and responsiveness, merit, programmatic and budget considerations, and risk assessments as detailed in the Notice of Funding Opportunity. The application deadline is March 11, 2026, with all final award decisions made by the Assistant Attorney General.
Award funding is anticipated to range from approximately $800,000 to $2,000,000 per grant, with project periods spanning 24 to 36 months, extendable in some cases if specific criteria are met. Grant recipients must perform services and activities within their respective state or tribal jurisdiction. Successful applicants will receive notification through the JustGrants system with award packages detailing funding amounts, periods of performance, and award conditions, which must be accepted or declined within 45 days of notification. All records related to the award must be retained for three years from the submission of the final expenditure report for federal examination and audit purposes.
