About this opportunity

The Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention is seeking applications for funding to assist jurisdictions in planning and assessing promising and evidence-based prevention and intervention services that will inform the development of a community-based continuum of care for youth at risk of becoming or already involved in the juvenile justice system. The long-term goal of this effort is to support sustainable, research-based, and data-informed recidivism-reduction policies, practices, and programming, and the strategic reinvestment of cost savings realized through accompanying reforms into effective prevention and intervention programs for our nation's youth. Applications are due by July 8, 2024.

This funding opportunity is provided through the Delinquency Prevention Program (CFDA 16.548), which aims to implement evidence-based strategies to combat youth delinquency and address the unmet needs of at-risk or delinquent youth. The funding instrument is a cooperative agreement, and eligible applicants include state governments, special district governments, city/township governments, and other entities. While specific award values or budget ranges are not provided, this grant seeks to support the development of a community-based continuum of care to address juvenile justice issues.
