About this opportunity
The Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE) of the Department of Education is offering the Mental Health Service Professional (MHSP) Demonstration Grant Program. This program provides competitive grants to support innovative partnerships between high-need local educational agencies (LEAs) or state educational agencies (SEAs) and institutions of higher education (IHEs). Partnerships must place graduate students in required field work, internships, or training to complete degrees or credentials in school-based mental health fields.
The grant awards will range from $400,000 to $1,000,000 for project periods up to 60 months. Applicants must address selection criteria and performance measures outlined in the notice. The application deadline is May 31, 2024, with an intergovernmental review deadline of July 30, 2024. The program is part of the School Safety National Activities (CFDA 84.184) within the Department of Education.
