About this opportunity

NASA seeks applicants for the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program, a multi-year cooperative agreement available to Space Grant Consortia with no specified deadline present in this source material. Eligible applicants are Space Grant Lead Institutions and established Space Grant Consortia as defined by NASA's Space Grant program directory. No cost share is mentioned in the source material.

The program aims to contribute to NASA's mission, Office of STEM Education priorities, and state-based needs through collaborative efforts among Space Grant Consortia. Primary objectives include enabling contributions to NASA's aeronautics, space, and science work; building a diverse, skilled future aerospace and NASA workforce; and strengthening STEM understanding through connections to NASA people, content, and facilities. The program emphasizes providing students with engagement opportunities in NASA's aeronautics, space, and science missions and direct contributions to NASA exploration and discovery through Mission Directorate collaborations.

All institutions submitting proposals—including prime awardees, partners, sub-awardees, and contractors—must register in NSPIRES before submission. Electronic proposals are required and must be submitted by an authorized organizational representative. All principal investigators and co-investigators must also register in NSPIRES regardless of submission system. NASA conducts administrative, merit, and financial review of all proposals. Merit review may include peer evaluation. Award selection announcements typically occur 150 to 220 days after the proposal due date, following federal budget approval. Selection timelines may extend due to budget delays, required approvals, or requests for additional applicant information such as revised budgets or supporting documentation.

The program operates under CFDA 43.008 (Office of STEM Engagement).
