Each center must employ at least one Program Director or Principal Investigator with cryoET expertise devoting minimum three person-months effort, and at least one PD/PI with experience managing scientific resources. Centers must provide specimen preparation services, tomographic data collection, standard data processing, training in cryoET theory and practice, and maintain detailed records on applications, user demographics, service delivery, microscope utilization, and workshop attendance.
The maximum project period is five years. Budgets are not limited but must reflect actual project needs. Award funding is contingent upon NIH appropriations and the number of meritorious applications received.
