Synopsis
The establishment of this new cooperative agreement is designed to evaluate the hatchery production of spring Chinook salmon in the Warm Springs River and help ensure that hatchery operations are meeting the two goals identified in the new management plan: 1) produce salmon for annual tribal harvest opportunity in the Deschutes and Columbia River fisheries, and 2) protect wild fish populations in the Warm Springs River by minimizing impacts from hatchery operations.
