Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits with the capacity to deliver five specific program initiatives targeting professionals and youth. Proposals will be evaluated on program quality (30 points), organizational capacity (20 points), program planning (15 points), budget (10 points), monitoring and evaluation (15 points), and sustainability (10 points). The application deadline is June 16, 2025, with mandatory requirements including completion of federal application forms, a detailed proposal, a Unique Entity Identifier, and active SAM.gov registration.
The total available funding for this grant is $54,000, with a 10-month performance period beginning October 31, 2025. The five program initiatives include American English for U.S. Business Partnerships ($10,000), American Business Standards Workshop ($7,500), American Leadership Skills Courses ($10,000), American English Club for Key Youth Audiences ($8,500), and U.S. Critical Emerging Technologies Workshops ($10,000). These programs are designed to reach 470 total beneficiaries, including 40 professionals in English business partnerships, 50 entrepreneurs, 100 emerging professionals, 250 students and professionals in an English club, and 30 tech-focused youth. All programming will be conducted at the American Center located at the U.S. Embassy and the American Corner at the National Library of Mozambique in Maputo.
