The Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) is seeking grant applications from consortia partnerships consisting of Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) for the Minority Serving Institutions Partnership Program (MSIPP) Consortia Grant Program. The program aims to build the workforce capacity of NNSA's Nuclear Security Enterprise by expanding scientific and technical knowledge, providing experiential learning opportunities for STEM students, building research and education capacities of the participating institutions, and promoting collaborations between higher education institutions and the DOE/NNSA. Eligible applicants must submit their proposals by either March 15 or June 15, with merit reviews occurring in the subsequent months and award notices issued approximately 45 days after the deadlines.

The estimated total award range is $500,000 to $5,000,000, with a minimum of 5 awards expected per funding cycle. The program funding is assigned under the National Nuclear Security Administration Minority Serving Institutions Program (CFDA #81.123) and the project period is 5 years. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical merit, education and training plans, and team qualifications.
